Greg Noble, Sensei

Noble Sensei is Chief Instructor of Alexandria Zen Center. He has been highly committed to Aikido and Zen practice since he started in1985, has over thirty five years of teaching experience, and is the head of Zenshinkai Aikido Association.

Noble Sensei holds the rank of rokudan (sixth-degree black belt) through Hombu Dojo in Japan, and holds many reputable ranks in various other martial arts.

Noble Sensei holds the title of Roshi (Zen Instructor) in the White Plum lineage. He leads our Zen program at ALexandria Zen Center, and incorporates Zen mentality into our Aikido training to enhance the centering nature of the art. We are extremely lucky to have Noble Sensei in our teaching staff.

Alison Lincoln, Sensei

Lincoln Sensei is Dojo Cho of Alexandria Zen Center. She is a certified Aikido instructor through Zenshinkai Aikido Association, and  holds the rank of sandan (third-degree black belt) through Hombu Dojo in Japan.

Lincoln Sensei began her training in 2005 at Jikishinkan Aikido Dojo in Brooklyn, New York, where she obtained the title of assistant dojo cho, and was the head of it's youth program. She then moved to Northern Virginia to open our school here in Alexandria.

Lincoln Sensei is highly active in the Zenshinkai community, and spends much of her free time advancing her skills through frequent workshops. Due to the focus and life skills that Aikido provides, Lincoln Sensei is eager to promote and pass the art on for many generations.
